| New Cartoons!

Can you believe I saw two new cartoons over the weekend, and I haven't posted about them yet?|
Kenny the Shark and Tutenstein. Both by Discovery Kids. Pretty good art style, especially on Tutenstein. It looks like it has more potential than Kenny the Shark. The characters are better developed and the plot is thicker. Kenny the Shark is more straightforward, and thus less interesting. Perhaps it will change later.
So, Kenny is a shark that lives on land with this family. A tiger shark. And he eats all kinds of stuff, and causes problems for the girl who "owns" him. Her parents aren't keen on it, but they let her keep him. See? Straightforward.
Tutenstein is about a girl with a fascination for ancient Egypt, and she accidentally awakens a mummy. The mummy is a young pharoah, who thinks he is still ruler of all. He has a scepter that has the power to bridge the gap between the underworld and the "overworld", or our world. So, dark forces (Set and his cronies) are trying to take it from him. Mmmm, juicy plot! There's also a talking cat. See? Much more fun.
I really wanted to make one post without mentioning Furikuri, but there's this really great scene. Amarao holds up a picture of Haruko, when he is explaining that she is the Raharu that he keeps mentioning, and Haruko is picking her nose, and Mamimi is behind her making the V sign and smiling cute. It's such an awesome picture, and it contrasts so well with Amarao's sense of propriety. And his eyebrows.
